MAX DYER is an American cellist based in Munich whose work moves easily between classical performance and improvisation across many musical traditions.
For decades he was a member of the Houston Ballet Orchestra and performed with the Houston Grand Opera and Houston Symphony. Alongside his classical work, he has performed and recorded in settings ranging from jazz, folk, and rock to early music, with extensive experience as both a recording artist and producer.
Now living in Bavaria, he continues to perform, record, and bring live cello music into community and eldercare settings, as well as collaborative projects in Germany and abroad.
